My home has 2 garage doors, and last week I replaced one of the garage door openers with the new Craftsman AssureLink Internet ¾ HP (model number 139.3043). After installing it, I programed the remote and it works. Then, using the same remote I went to program my older Craftsman ¾ garage door opener (model 139.53997D) and I was not able to complete the function. So, I tried to program the older remotes to control the new garage door and again I was not able to complete this task. I was however able to problem the older remotes to open and close the older garage door and I was able to program the new remotes to open and close the new garage door. BUT I don’t want to carry 2 remotes in each car. I would like to be able to program 1 remote to open and close both my new garage door and older garage door openers. Second question, on the new garage door, when I press the learn button the yellow lite says lit. If I press it again then the yellow lite blinks, finally if I press it a third time it goes off. What is happening when the yellow lite is blinking?
The Managemylife web site is a good resource to find out what may be happening with your Garage Door Opener. I did some research for you at Managemylife.com and found an excellent article that also has multiple expert answers at the bottom of the web page that addresses the most common questions that have been asked by other members. I hope this will help until your expert can answer your specific question. I attached the link below.
To get one remote to open both the new and the old garage door openers, you will need to buy a new Craftsman universal remote. The part number of the universal remote is 139.30498. This remote will operate your old and new openers.
When the yellow led is blinking after 2 presses, it is in a programming mode that is not currently being used. This will be used for further programming to be done with the gateway. The technology is not currently being used.Member
