I have a Craftsman 18" 42cc "special edition" chainsaw. The model # is 358.360171. The bar and chain oil is not dispensing onto the chain when the saw is running. Is there an adjustment I can make to get the oil flowing again?

There is no adjustment for the flow of oil to the bar and chain. When the chain is not being oiled, the hole where the oil is delivered to the bar and chain is usually clogged.
Remove the chain brake nuts and the chain brake. Remove the bar and chain. Remove the bar mounting plate that slides over the bar mounting bolts. Clean the sawdust out of the opening in the engine block the oil travels through. Blow the opening out with compressed air and clean the chain brake and mounting plate. This will usually solve the problem. If you have questions, reply on this thread and I will be glad to help.Hello, I'm having the same problem with my chainsaw (same as mentioned above). The hole that delivers the oil is not clogged though, because I can tilt the saw on it's side (hole facing down) and then open the oil reservoir cap and then oil will start flowing. Is there another hole somewhere that vents air in, to prevent a vacuum in the reservior? If so, could that be clogged? How do I get to that? Thanks!
Ryan, if the model of your saw is 358.360171 it has an oil pump that pumps the oil. I am sending an image from the parts diagram that shows the oil vent kit and the oil pump. The vent kit is item 28, and the oil pump is item 42. The oil pump is mounted in the frame of the engine behind item 33. If the vent stops up, the oil pump will stop pumping.
Jimmy & Ryan - I am not sure if this is the same type of saw as in the thread below but I believe it may be. Should I be in error please accept my apologies. However I took a couple of pictures of the vent and posted them on that thread. Perhaps it may help? Anyway Good Luck to you both.
